19/01: 2010 - Already mire
In 2009, there were so many bad events.
Fears of the H1N1 influenza pandemic;
Economic breakdown;
and of course, wars.
We are struggling to survive, as usual.
Hopefully, the scientific and technological innovations continue to thrive. A remarkable feat.
People that could afford it, continue to consume goods of all kinds. That's well to keep the economy to recover.
It is not a time to hold every economical sectors on hold, because of the toll of debts. It is the responsabilities of the governments to boost, at all cost, because of the crisis. Give the people the means to feed their families, with dignity, that is, give them jobs.
When I am looking back at the History books, that was what did happen.
How to reimburse debts ? once one could spare a surplus again. It would not be a short term view.
Let people starve , die; Let them be exploited in the name of the return of investment, then we are returning back to the days of the warlords, the greedy ages of past centuries. It wil be a collective suicide.
At my puny standpoint, where I have to continue to take care of my family, because of either illness or jobless, it is a very hard time.
I try to surmount the distress, by making feel good myself. If I am gone, be it by despair, or lacking enough revenue to sustain my family, then that is the end.
If I am a responsible man, then I have to survive and be in a good shape, psychologically.
I have found a way to do it. Buying guitars !
Horror, I am nut! Irresonsible!
Well, I know what I do. I buy those instruments through auctions; those guitars are cheaply made, but quite satisfactory to play and dirty cheap.
Horror ! I am not a real musician ! So what ? If the instruments can make me happy and could be a remedy to the pessimistic environment, then it is OK with me. Anyway, by buying, I contribute to the welfare of other economical actors.

That's said as an intro, I came across a web report about vietnamese women being kept in dog cages, used as sex slaves in HoChiMinh city.
Unbelievable at first. But I remember that I have seen TV and newspapers reports that the human trafficking is still there, in 21st Century.
Particularly women held prisoners and used as sex slaves. Just take the time to check on the internet.
As I live in an occidental region, the reports were talking about women being smugled from Eastern Europe.
Really, I feel a little stupid and shocked by reading about human trafficking in and out of Viet-nam.
I don't want to join groups who are vocifering against Viet-Nam on political grounds.
The problem here, is that those groups should act on such cases, as they have done before for their "petites gens". In and outside of Vietnam.
I believe that distance does count. Since the bad guys can deter those same groups to act in such a matter (human trafficking).
It is "harmless" to attack the antagonists, when the latter are so far away.
Well, probably I would take this kind of stances. I am not an idiot (well, not at such a level, I hope).
Now, please act. The woeful women are in your neigbourhood. I read that children were smuggled in Great Brittain, to work as slaves.
If they want to work as is, they have to choose by themselves, without being coersced and exploited.
From time to time, Police is doing its jobs, to free a few pitiful ones. That's is not enough.
I believe that such exploitations are ludicrous enough for the bandits and thier accomplices. The later are powerful enough to being completly dismantled.

Money is money, nothing to do with political status.

Despite the subtitle, there will be incomplete ones.
As often, a few criminals are used as a weapon and political purposes, to deshumanize whole communities.
Theorem 1:
The illogical side of a "globalization" is that Nations are still reasoning, scapegoating whole communities.
The nearer the communities are, the more forceful scapegoating will be.
The farther the countries's are, the better is.
The Law of inverse proportional (square of the distance). Newton's Law applied to hatred.
Theorem 2:
Money, greed are independant of poltical status.
Corollary:
Money, greed have their own laws.
Theorem 3:
Money, greed are destructive by definition.
Human being is greed-driven, by nature, hence destructive.
Proof:
- Human being has to survive, with whatever policies he chooses;
- To survive, he has to fuel himself;
- The fuel has to be taken somewhere else, distinct from self;
- Comes in greed, an insurance against odds;
- Greed fosters competition hence destructive;
Well, as I am a Human being (albeit some groups of People denied it), therefore I am destructive.
Not a nice perspective, isn't it ?
Or have I to go at someplace to live in accord with Nature, like a monk, for example ?
Taking and cultivating (take and give back = equilibrium = non destructive) the minimal to survive.
But where could I go ?
As a human Being, I must have a permission to do so (from all the human governments) !
Per se, human being is not "free", because he must pertain to a country or nation.
He is not "free" to go where he wants. Impossible.

Bandits or crooks are convicted when they try to be smarter. "Freer" than allowed.

We see, read, hear reports about the catastrophic situation of Burma and China. The aftermath of the Nargis cyclone and Sichuan Earthquake.
Year after year, more and more murderous natural tremors blast off everywhere around the World. Hapless people were dying in great numbers, because relief could not brought over quickly enough.
Are we, human beings, so stupid ?
More and more people are dying of starvation. Despite the fact that enough food is available.
Experts agree on some of the causes.
The main problem : accessibility.
I propose the following solution:
1 - Create a DMZ (demilatry zone) at the borders of each country.
It can done as such:
Country A shares the same border with country B. A slim border line.
Why can't countries A and B agree to share a greater zone as a frontier ?
The bigger frontier could be a relief route, allowing hapless refugees to seek for shelter.
In this way, sovereignty will not be a question anymore.
2 - As every country has a border with one or more neighbours, those borders could be extended as an DMZ or international highway. The highway could be equipped with relief equipments (landing aircraft tarmacs,barraks, chirurgical buildings, relief stocks ...), as small relief islands.
The scheme will be more flexible and bring relief with less hindrance compared with today situation.
So let's create these routes and relief islands. In the name of efficiencies.
Another good perspective: People and goods could be transported from Country A to Country B,be they apart from the North Pole to the South, only by using the international Highway, without the hassle of paperworks.
One may argue: Not the shortest path !
Well, it's better to have freedom to ride than the other way around.

There is a time for everything.
Everyone has been alloted a time frame, to achieve something.
What is "something" ?
What is the time frame ?
What the purposes of achieving ?
Those kind of questions were asked, when I has attained some maturity of thinking. Which means, a part of my alloted time has been "unproductive".
Thanks to the advance of Science, medical and technicity, my life span has been enlarged. That's I can prove, without any doubt.
Without entering into the murking waters of Philosophy, which is quite difficult to grasp and to prove, I will stay with observations and ciphers.
How Science and its application have taken such phenomenal level, in such a short time ?
I am a technical by profession. I have used, developed technical devices.
I have been a witness and an actor in those fields since the beginning of their inception.
The key point is information spreading, widely available to everyone.
Information conveys new ideas, new desires to learn, repeat, understand, improve and create. Order in unimportant here.
I remember the old days, where gathering information was quite a "parcours de combattant", if you are not in a university.
Cold wars, dictate that any sensible technical informations were severely controlled.
Even lenient information was available, I have had a hard time to have access. Why ? Suspicion, trade secrets, unwillingness to share knowledge (the "I know more than you" syndrome"). I behaved like this as well !
When I have had time to spare, I study every interesting subject I knew of.
At least, where I could put a hand on it. And as everyone, I wanted to "invent" new ideas, to please my mind.
One of the questions I used to ask to myself: How and why does it happen ? Present tense on purpose.
I am sure, that many people have studied the subject. That is, more than I can think of.
For the time being, I will offer my opinion on the subject.
1) At the beginning, very few illustrious persons, started to think, experiment out of sheer curiosity.
2) The money makers (capitalists) took up the ideas, discoveries.
3) Money makers and consumers are definitely married.
4) The producers+consumers, are fertiled as rabbits: Fibonacci numbers
. So far so good. More consumers are needed, so medical arsenal makes great jumps.
5) Human population (producers+consumers) explodes. By combinatorics and statiscal, a greater "chance" to have more talentuous individuals.
6) More talentous individuals, well fed , educated, more time to dream.
7) More time to dream, more chance to find new "things".
8) New things, new realistical idealism can be achieved.
9) New idealism, new society conception.
10) New society conception, more chance for Human to last.

To sum up.
Let's take a sphere, suppose that one individual or group of individuals can only see a part of the sphere.
How long this individual or group can explore the whole sphere ?
Let's suppose that time is at odds, how could this one group find the response to save his neck ?
Let's suppose that same group is homogeneous, share the same set of mental, skills, but still be formed in the same mold. Will be it able to cross the mold, changing its way of thinking, in time ?
Let's suppose that by putting more groups of varied molding structure into play and setting those varied groups all around the sphere. Of course, there must exist a way of communications in order to exchange information between those groups. Isn't it more efficient ?
The sphere in question can be anything. It's the philosophical stone, the Graal of knowledge.

29/09: Burma - Support the people.

With the help of the Media, I can see what is happening in Burma.
I feel ashamed and powerless.
It's really a pity that The United nations (UN) couldn't intervene efficiently, in order to ease the tensions. I hear that a UN representative has arrived in Rangoon to assess the situation.
I can not and wouldn't criticize, as I don't know what's going on in Burma, on since several decennia.
I support the burmese civil population and the budhist clergy, who have enough guts and give their lives to protest against the arbitrary of self proclaimed government (military junta).
It is time now to do something useful and clever.
I don't believe in economical sanctions, as the later only have negative impacts on the mass, not the rulers.
One might tell me what I would do in such a situation. Well I am not "smart" enough to give out hints. Why not ask the Gov smart guys and their powerful lobbies ?
You know, the guys we have democratically elected, tzz not the lobbies.

It's really incredible that simple citizens in several foreign countries make protest marches, before their government will make any move.

The summer of 2007 was not without problems with Internet.
Seems that hackers and consorts weren't in vacations.
Provider 1:
One of my sites was defaced (which isn't lamvo.com). I spent the whole August to reinstall it, and by the same occasion improve a little bit.
The problems are that I have too much confidence with my web hosting service. They are good and very helpful. But one should take care to backup everything, as far as on can, and keep one backups local.
Hopefully the online databases were in good conditions, so I was able to export them. With those data, I was able to reconstruct bit by bit, with what I have on my local systems.
Be sure to read the way the online backup is done, its frequency etc..
Be sure to look at the new conditions, which arise from time to time, due to the very fast pace of changes, be them technical or others.
Provider 2:
With LAMVO site, I have had bad issues. When I have had problems with the web site, only there I took steps to hunt down the problems, it turns out that I wasn't able to access my databases, as the later have been installed by my web host services provider, a year ago. Well, as I didn't notice any major problems with what I have done upto now, I thought that the databases where taken care by the provider.
Surprise, no one knows how to access those database servers (admins). At least not anymore. Maybe the administor(s) have left the enterprise.
Some months back, the service provider of LAMVO.COM, have upgraded the hosting strategy, with quite a lot of free goodies, and a new control panel, such as install automatically for me (if asked), useful packages as such nucleus, joomla, wordpress, postnuke and a lot more. And now, they put them with databases alloted to me (e.g, I can access my databases and manage them). Thank you, provider. A very good point.
Conclusions:
That's life. Speedy. There good sides and bad ones as well. Just be aware.
Even my local Windoze has had problems, by caughting viruses, even though I have had an commercial antivirus made by a well known company.
The brand of antivrus was not able detect the problems. It's clamwin which was able to find one of those nasty things !
Hopefully, I don't rely entirely on Windoze, but use heavily linuxes. On the same machine, with dedicated hard drives.
No one is perfect.
Webally speaking, it is really a playground for genial bastards.
I am for developing defence tools, but not for utter controls, 1984 fashion.

The problems are that I have too much confidence with my web hosting service. They are good and very helpful. But one should take care to backup everything, as far as on can, and keep one backups local.
Hopefully the online databases were in good conditions, so I was able to export them. With those data, I was able to reconstruct bit by bit, with what I have on my local systems.
Be sure to read the way the online backup is done, its frequency etc..
Be sure to look at the new conditions, which arise from time to time, due to the very fast pace of changes, be them technical or others.
Provider 2:
With LAMVO site, I have had bad issues. When I have had problems with the web site, only there I took steps to hunt down the problems, it turns out that I wasn't able to access my databases, as the later have been installed by my web host services provider, a year ago. Well, as I didn't notice any major problems with what I have done upto now, I thought that the databases where taken care by the provider.
Surprise, no one knows how to access those database servers (admins). At least not anymore. Maybe the administor(s) have left the enterprise.
Some months back, the service provider of LAMVO.COM, have upgraded the hosting strategy, with quite a lot of free goodies, and a new control panel, such as install automatically for me (if asked), useful packages as such nucleus, joomla, wordpress, postnuke and a lot more. And now, they put them with databases alloted to me (e.g, I can access my databases and manage them). Thank you, provider. A very good point.
Conclusions:
That's life. Speedy. There good sides and bad ones as well. Just be aware.
Even my local Windoze has had problems, by caughting viruses, even though I have had an commercial antivirus made by a well known company.
The brand of antivrus was not able detect the problems. It's clamwin which was able to find one of those nasty things !
Hopefully, I don't rely entirely on Windoze, but use heavily linuxes. On the same machine, with dedicated hard drives.
No one is perfect.
Webally speaking, it is really a playground for genial bastards.
I am for developing defence tools, but not for utter controls, 1984 fashion.

I have created this site in honor of my father, Lam Trong Thuc and my mother Mary.
Sad story.
In 2006, my father's wife has found me and managed to reunify her family and myself.
I have now two sisters and brother.
Till then, I didn't know of their existence.
